Mary Ann has been the Director of Good Start Academy since January of 2000.  She has a B.S. Degree from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY.  She has experience as an elementary, substitute teacher, pre-school teacher, an Assistant Director, and a Director in New York, Boston, and Missouri.

Rachel Cyphers is the Assistant Director and preschool teacher at Good Start Academy.  She graduated from ESU in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked at Good Start Academy for the last six years.  She recently completed her Director’s Credential from Northampton Community College and has enjoyed being able to take on more administrative roles at the center.  She is blessed to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children each day and help lay a foundation for their future.

Carlette Hatcher is the toddler teacher at Good Start Academy.  She has been at Good Start Academy for five years and has enjoyed every year.  She has also been a member of Christian Life Assembly for the past 34 years.  She and her husband served as the Children’s Ministry Directors for 20 years.  Children have always been her passion and she is blessed to be a part of Good Start Academy.

Melissa James is one of the infant teachers at Good Start Academy. She has worked at the center for four years and has worked with children of all ages. Currently, she is a student at Northampton Community College studying Early Childhood Education. After she graduates, she hopes to teach and eventually own a daycare center.

Christie Swift is one of the infant teachers at Good Start Academy. She has over ten years of experience in child care and has worked with children of all ages ranging from infants to school age. As a mother of three children, she is dedicated to providing quality care for all children and nurturing a child’s growth and development.

Cara Stuhr is from Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania. Cara works with a variety of age groups at Good Start Academy. She graduated from Stroudsburg High School and received a degree in art from Northampton Community College. Cara is currently working on earning a degree in Early Childhood Education. She wants to become a preschool teacher where she can use her abilities to make an impact in the lives of children.
